For the first time in its 127 year history, the APA has finally admitted misogyny is a serious issue in the psychological realm of individuals. They definitely didn’t know this when homosexuality was deemed a mental illness in the DSM until the 1970′s. do you ever think about how the mob psycho 100 anime did not have to go that hard? because it really didn’t. they could have just animated it in a traditional way and no one would find it weird. the source material is known for not having a particularly appealing art style, after all. they could have just pulled the good ol’ ‘character standing still with their mouth flapping’ for like 80% of each episode until the action scene kicks in and no one would blame them. but no. they really did That. they felt the need to both keep the art as close to the original as possible while also adding constant fluid movement for basically every scene, important or not, and also adding basically every alternative animation technique (like fucking paint-on-glass) into the mix just for the hell of it. they did it. they did it for us.
